DIGITAL PRODUCT FORMAT
Spreadsheets & trackers
Keep recurring inputs, calculations and progress in one structure.
When this format is useful
Scattered records make comparisons harder. A spreadsheet can organise inputs and calculated outputs; a tracker records changes over time. Their usefulness depends on clear definitions and correct formulas.
Who this is for
Business operators, managers, freelancers and project teams may find this format useful when its scope matches the actual task.

Project expense tracker
Separate planned costs from actual costs, identify the date and category of each entry, and compare totals using synthetic values. Check that adding a row does not silently exclude it from the summary.
What to check before choosing
- Supported Excel or Google Sheets version
- Input cells versus calculated cells
- Currency, units and rounding
- Formula checks, protection and sample data
Use a tracker for repeated observations. Use a calculator for a focused input-to-result question. A workbook can contain both, but its instructions should explain the distinction.

A question worth asking
Does a download prove a workbook is being used?
No. Opening, maintaining and interpreting the workbook are separate steps. Check a sample and the stated compatibility before choosing.
